Announcement of the Appointment of Deputy Directors of Lao-Asia State Enterprise and Star Telecom Company

The appointment ceremony for the Deputy Director of the Lao-Asia State Enterprise and the Deputy Director of Star Telecom Company was held on April 1, 2025, under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General S.C.P. Vongkham Phommakone, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defense. The ceremony was attended by leaders from the Ministry of National Defense, departments, company executives, and other related parties.
Colonel Salongsay Saiyasena, Head of the Political Office of the Ministry of National Defense, announced the Ministrys resolution approving the retirement of senior military officers, including the approval for Major General Bimua Fidayeya, Deputy Director of Star Telecom Company, to retire.
The Ministry also issued resolutions on new appointments:
Colonel Bounmy Malavong was appointed as Deputy Director of Star Telecom Company and Deputy Director of Lao-Asia Telecommunication State Enterprise, concurrently serving as Co-Director of the Lao-Vietnam International Port Joint Venture Company, stationed at Hung Ang Port, Ha Tinh Province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Colonel Khitsangone Thipphavong, Deputy Head of the Department of General Research, Ministry of National Defense, was appointed as Assistant Director of Lao-Asia Telecommunication State Enterprise.
Lieutenant Colonel Daovy Sihathep was appointed as Deputy Director of Organization and Administration of Star Telecom Company.
Mr. Chanthavysay Thammavong was appointed as Deputy Director of Technology of Star Telecom Company.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General S.C.P. Vongkham Phommakone expressed his congratulations and commendations to the newly appointed officials. He urged them to continue upholding their political responsibilities, leadership principles, and commitment to collective unity, while integrating political education and ideological guidance into all aspects of their work. He emphasized working in line with democratic centralism, maintaining consultation and solidarity within the leadership, to successfully fulfill the political missions assigned by the Party and the State.
