The LaosVietnam International Wharf project includes Wharf Nos. 1, 2, and 3, located in the Vung Ang economic zone, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam, managed and developed by the LaosVietnam International Wharf Joint Stock Company. In this company, the Lao side holds 60% of the shares, while the Vietnamese side holds 40%.
On this occasion, Sihaleumsy, Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao PDR and Head of the Central Committees Political Department, on behalf of the Party, the State, and the Lao people, expressed his deep appreciation and sincere gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, the great leaders of Vietnam, including President Ky Son Phomvihan and President Suphanouvong, who initiated and set a clear example of solidarity, enhancing the precious friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, two states, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam, which has grown stronger and unbroken, becoming a reliable foundation in international relations.
This project confirms that cooperation with Vietnam in operating this wharf will be most effective, bringing real benefits to the peoples of both Laos and Vietnam, while continuing to expand the value of this great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation, allowing it to be further developed and strengthened.
